Five Things to Know Today: Feb. 11

Your guide to North Reading today.

 

Today is Monday, Feb. 11. Here are five things to know today:

1. The weather. The temperature will reach 41 degrees today with a low of 28. Expect some rain and cloudy skies.

2. North Reading Selectmen. The selectmen will meet at Town Hall at 7 p.m. Signing the Special Town Meeting warrant is an item on the agenda.

3. North Reading School Committee. The school committee will meet at the Hood School at 7 p.m. An MSBA/SSBC update and the NRHS baseball team are both items on the agena.

4. Youth Services Director. The position of youth services director is open. If you are interested, email a letter of interest and resume to northreadingyouthservices@gmail.com. Put “Youth Services Director” in the subject of the email. Or mail your letter and resume to town hall.

OK, What am I missing here. Why do they cancel a school committee meeting because there is no school ?

School committee is not cancelled. We are meeting at 7 p.m. at the middle school.

We were supposed to meet at the Hood for that school's annual presentation, but since school was cancelled yesterday, the Hood presentation will be rescheduled.
