Residents are stopping into St. Theresa's Parish today to vote to finalize the appropriation approved at Special Town Meeting Monday and add the $15.5 million to the school building project.

It's been a slow day compared to last year's Special Election, poll worker John Firriello said. It was busy this morning when the polls first opened at 7 a.m., but it has slowed down since then.

"They've been coming in spurts," he said.

Posted Poll count as of 2 p.m.:

Precinct 1 363
Precinct 2 222
Precinct 3 360
Precinct 4 432
Total: 1377

Check in with us just after 8 p.m. tonight to find out the results.

Did you vote yet? Will you vote later? Tell us in the comments section below.

Nice picture of Brad Jones after he voted to raise our taxes. He brags about being praised by Citizens for Limited Taxation and fights Patrick on any tax increase on philosophical grounds but as a citizen votes to take our money because it benefits his family. Hypocrite.

I've noticed people often resort to name-calling when the facts of the argument are against them.

1. Jones fights every tax increase on Beacon Hill.
2. He votes FOR a tax increase that disproportionately benefits his family.

My sincere thanks to all who worked so hard to convey to our community the facts behind the need for additional funding. And thanks to all of you who took time today to vote, no matter what side of the question you were on. Hopefully we can put aside our differences and continue to make North Reading a community that we can all be proud of.

First, I would like to thank North Reading residents for making the difficult, but right decision. Second, I would like to thank Brad Jones for being a great representative of the town.

Brad Jones does represent the viewpoint of North Readingites quite well. They see no problem in taxing their neighbors so their rich suburbanite children can have free tennis lessons but oppose increasing revenue to pay for dental work for indigent families. Well done, Mr. Jones.

Novangelus
A person of integrity will proudly put their name on their convictions. Only those who lack the courage hide behind a pseudonym. Novangelus, in Latin, means New Englander. New Englanders are not afraid to stand behind their word. You lesson the value of your comments, especially if your assessment is correct.

I think, if you were referring to John Adams' writings, that was Novanglus. "Anglus", meaning Englishman, shares the same root as "anglican". Novangelus, with the "e" in there, would translate from Latin as "New Angel".
