How Much Snow is North Reading Getting?

The National Weather Service said there is still “some uncertainty” as the storm heads this way.

We’re officially in spring, but the snow isn’t done with us quite yet.

Another snowstorm is headed toward New England and expected to start Tuesday night and last into Wednesday. While this one carries quite a punch, weather forecasters are expecting the brunt of the storm to miss this area.

Cape Cod and the Islands are expected to get as much as 10 inches of snow with coastal flooding.

North Reading is not expected to get nearly as much. Forecasters have been saying for days that this is an unpredictable storm and the National Weather Service said there is still “some uncertainty” as the storm heads this way.

This is evident in the predictions. While Channels 4 and 25 are predicting as much as 3 inches, Channel 7 is expecting “gray skies, a few flakes and a little wind.”

Here are the snowfall predictions for North Reading from four groups of weather forecasters:

  • National Weather Service: 1 to 2 inches
  • Channel 4: 1 to 3 inches
  • Channel 7: No measurable snow
  • Channel 25: 1 to 3 inches

Joe, I just have a small patch of snow left in my front yard. A sunny day or two and it will be all gone!

Remember the April Fool's Day Storm! 1997! Last FROST in North Reading will be May 15th. You heard it here first, folks! Less than 2 months away!

The only good thing about the April Fool's Day storm is I remember shoveling in short sleeves because it was warm the next day!
