The majority of the Ys’ fundraising activities are generated through businesses, philanthropic organizations and related direct appeals.  New board member and event chair, Dennis Collins, said, “Just as the kids look forward to enjoying the summer we wanted to host an enjoyable, accessible, summer kick-off fundraiser that will allow our friends and donors to make a direct impact on a child’s life by providing for a safe, fun and educational summer experience.  I’m impressed by, and proud of, the work the Y does and the contributions it makes in our community, particularly for those in need.“

Tickets to the event are $50 per person and include unlimited draft Harpoon beverages, hors d’oeuvres including Harpoon’s signature pretzels, brewery tours and raffles.  Tickets can be purchased on the Burbank Y web site www.ymcaboston.org/burbank .   Those wishing to contribute to the Annual Fund in support of helping local youth with summer camp can also visit the Burbank Y web site or contact Executive Director Irene Collins at 781-909-7401 or by email icollins@ymcaboston.org.
