North Reading's Ryan Fitzgerald, Other Bruins Prospects Return to Ristuccia Arena

The team announced last week that the annual summer tradition of Development Camp in Wilmington continues this year.

The future of Ristuccia Arena as the official practice facility of the Boston Bruins isn't clear yet. But what is clear is that young members of the black and gold will be in Wilmington as the team returns for its annual Development Camp this week.

Bruins officials announced last week that the team will hold its seventh annual camp from Wednesday to Sunday in Wilmington. Sessions are open to the public and include players who have recently been drafted or who are looking to earn an invitation to training camp later this year.

This year's roster includes forwards Cole Bardreau, Kyle Baun, Anders Bjork, Anton Blidh, Peter Cehlarik, Mitchell Dempsey, Michael Doherty, Ryan Donato, North Reading resident Ryan Fitzgerald, Alex Globke, Colton Hargrove, Simon Norberg, and David Pastrnak.

In addition, defensemen  Linus Arnesson, Matt Benning, Matt Grzelcyk, Emil Johansson, Rob O’ Gara, Wiley Sherman, Billy Sweezey, and Oleg Yevenko wil join goalies Zane Gothberg and Malcolm Subban on the ice.

The Bruins' practice schedule for the week is as follows:

  • Wednesday, July 9 - on-ice practice at 10:30 a.m.
  • Thursday, July 10 - on-ice practice at 11 a.m.
  • Friday, July 11 - on-ice practice at 10 a.m.
  • Saturday, July 12 - on-ice practice at 3 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 13 - on-ice practice at 10 a.m.
During the week the players will also attend community events in the area.
