North Reading Native, Former Obama Speechwriter Offers Advice to Graduates

North Reading’s own Jon Favreau gave the commencement address at the 2014 College of the Holy Cross graduation last week.

The former Obama speechwriter and 2003 College of Holy Cross graduate used humor during the speech and offered advice to the Class of 2014.

“My wish today is that you choose to hope – hard and risky as it may be. My wish is that you choose to give others the same presumption of good faith that you want to be given. My wish is that despite all the sound and logical reasons not to, you choose to try,” he said.
