Second Annual Taste of North Reading Benefit Dinner

Get ready for the second annual Taste of North Reading! The Aldersgate United Methodist Church along with the North Reading Food Pantry are hosting the event on Oct. 26 at 6 p.m.

Several local restaurants including China Cuisine, the Horseshoe Grill, Kitty's and Joe Fish will participate in the benefit in the dinner, according to Rev. Rachel Fisher. The event will also feature a silent auction with donations from New England Beverage, Altantra Spa, Burbank YMCA, Elite Freestyle Karate, Wishing Well Gift Shop, Frame One and more. Local artists Hugh Connor, Kathi Lee and Stephanie McDonald will also donate artwork for the auction.

The cost for dinner is $20 and $15 for seniors. All of the proceeds will support the North Reading Food Pantry. Last year, the event raised over $1500 just for the pantry. The proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the mission and ministries of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Fisher said.
