What's Open, Closed on New Year's Day

Town offices, banks closed on Jan. 1.

New Year's Day is a federal holiday, which means government offices and buildings are closed. There are some businesses that are open, however. Check out the list below to see what's open and closed:

  • Banks: Closed
  • Town Offices: Closed
  • Recycling and Transfer Station: Closed
  • Senior Center: Closed
  • Schools: Closed
  • Library: Closed
  • Restaurants: Open at owners' discretion
  • Retail stores: Open at owners' discretion
  • Liquor stores: Open
  • Post Office: Closed
  • Gas stations: Open
  • Movie theaters: Open
  • Supermarkets: Open at owner's discretion
