Chamber of Commerce’s Women Celebrating is on Thursday

The Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce is hosting its seventh annual Women Celebrating event from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10 at the Hilton Boston/Woburn Hotel Ballroom in Woburn.

This year’s event will feature more than 35 local exhibitors and restaurants from Reading, North Reading and surrounding towns.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity to promote a variety of businesses we have right here in the immediate area,” said Chamber President Lisa DeLeo. “Women Celebrating allows local businesses to be showcased in a creative and fun setting, while offering an enjoyable night out.”

Women Celebrating 2014 will include women’s and men’s fashion shows featuring styles and accessories from Sterlingwear of Boston and jewelry from The Jewelry Valut in North Reading.

Lumina Salon and Axle Color Studio will create “trend-setting hairstyles for local chic and successful women models and rugged and refined male models.” Music on the Move’s DJ Jason Cheverie will provide the entertainment.

The chamber said:

“Step on to the red carpet sponsored by Nova Idea and pose for fun shots by JBug Images, just like the Hollywood stars. In addition to the staged events, exhibitors will offer minute manicures, product samples, discount coupons and demonstrations. Northern Bank & Trust Company will sponsor a photo booth, giving attendees a chance to have their informal pictures taken with their friends at no charge. Check out the many raffle prizes, including a Party on the Patio for ten from Bertucci’s and a Chalk Painting party from Brissonte’ Gifts and Home Decor. Winners’ ticket numbers will be placed on white boards in the lobby at 8:30 p.m. so don’t forget to check the board before you leave.

“Refreshments for the event will be provided by local eateries including Bertucci’s, Horseshoe Grille, Sanborn Place, Lasting Impressions Catering, Oye’s Restaurant, Laurie’s 9:09, and more. Specialty martinis and a cash bar will also be featured.
