NR Auto Closing After 15 Years

Tommy Tannian will be closing the doors of NR Auto on July 31, after 15 years as owner. If you don't want to let anyone else work on your car, you can find him at Specialty Auto along with the rest of his mechanics.

Tannian, a longtime North Reading resident, opened NR Auto in November of 1998. He previously worked at Ira Lexus and opened the shop to specialize in foreign car repairs. He was a first time garage owner, and may consider opening another one now that NR Auto is closing.

According to Tannian, the landlord sold his bay to someone else and didn't give him much notice. Tannian has to be out by August 1. He is "not happy about it," but said there isn't much he can do.

"We had a pretty solid run," he said.
