Starbucks Opens in North Reading

The coffee chain joins Dunkin' Donuts and Heav'nly Donuts in town.

North Reading has another option for its coffee.

Starbucks opened on Friday at the former Sunrise Bagels building in the Stop & Shop strip mall on Main Street.

The nearest Starbucks locations were in Reading, Wilmington and Andover, but now North Reading residents don’t have to leave town to buy a Pumpkin Spice Latte, Cool Lime Fresher or any of the coffee, pastry or sandwich options.

Starbucks’ entrance to North Reading means the town now has five coffee shops, joining three Dunkin’ Donuts and a Heav’nly Donuts. Plus, McDonald’s has a loyal following for its coffee. Needless to say, it's a crowded coffee field in North Reading.
