North Reading has another option for its coffee.

Starbucks opened on Friday at the former Sunrise Bagels building in the Stop & Shop strip mall on Main Street.

The nearest Starbucks locations were in Reading, Wilmington and Andover, but now North Reading residents don’t have to leave town to buy a Pumpkin Spice Latte, Cool Lime Fresher or any of the coffee, pastry or sandwich options.

Starbucks’ entrance to North Reading means the town now has five coffee shops, joining three Dunkin’ Donuts and a Heav’nly Donuts. Plus, McDonald’s has a loyal following for its coffee. Needless to say, it's a crowded coffee field in North Reading.

What do you think about Starbucks opening in town? What’s your favorite drink? Are you sticking with one of the other North Reading options? Do you like all three coffee chains? Let us know in the comments section.
