What Music Is Popular In North Reading?

Justin Timberlake, Adele and... Neil Diamond?

Elvis Presley songs are just some of the many music downloads available through the library's new Freegal program.
Elvis Presley songs are just some of the many music downloads available through the library's new Freegal program.

The Flint Memorial Library is so much more than just books. With your library card, you can download three free songs each week.

Seriously.

How cool is this?!

Using the free download program, called Freegal, I've already downloaded the latest Britney Spears single, and rediscovered Shawn Colvin's "Sunny Came Home." I'm even thinking about slowly downloading Justin Timberlake's latest CD, three songs at a time. Just because I can.

As you can tell from my downloads — and from the Freegal screenshot attached to this — the catalog is large and wide-reaching. You can find some of the latest singles on the radio, but also find old favorites, like Elvis Presley!

Here's the Flint Memorial Library's Top 10 Downloads (as of Aug. 7):
  • Get Lucky - Daft Punk feat. Pharrell Williams
  • Just Give Me A Reason - P!nk feat. Nate Ruess
  • We Can't Stop - Miley Cyrus
  • Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond
  • Brave - Sara Bareilles
  • Voices Carry - 'Til Tuesday
  • People Like Us - Kelly Clarkson
  • Feel This Moment - Pitbull feat. Christina Aguilera
  • Skyfall - Adele
  • Mirrors - Justin Timberlake
If you want to get in on the music action, all you need is:

Have you used Freegal yet? What have you downloaded? Tell us in the comments!!

Libraries are much more than just "brick and mortar" now. It's so great to have these options available to patrons!
