Five Things to Know Today: March 8

Today is Friday, March 8. Here are five things to know today:

1. The weather. The temperature will reach 37 degrees today with a low of 27. Expect partly cloudy skies.

2. Voter registration deadline. Today is the last day to register to vote at Special Town Meeting. Register at the Town Clerk's office at North Reading Town Hall before 8 p.m.

3. Middle school coffeehouse. Students in grades six through eight are invited to the Activity Room at the Flint Memorial Library for at noon

4. Country music night. The Bring Back the 4th committee is hosting a fundraiser at the Hillview Country Club from 7 to 11 p.m. The Herland Brothers, a local act who performed at Countryfest and will appear with Jason Aldean this summer at Fenway, will perform. The tickets are $30.
