North Reading Food Pantry Needs Your Help

Here is a list of items that the food pantry needs.

As we head into the holidays, people are often looking for ways to help those less fortunate.

The North Reading Food Pantry is one organization always looking for donations to help needy North Reading residents. 

Located at Town Hall, the nonprofit organization is run by Christian Community Service of North Reading. It’s open from 9 to 10 a.m. every Monday morning and on the first and third Monday evenings form 7 to 8 p.m.

All North Reading residents are eligible to use the food pantry.

Those who would like to donate items can drop them off at drop-off locations – Town Hall, Flint Memorial Library, North Reading Police Office, Carr’s Hallmark Store and Stop & Shop.

The items most in need are:

  • Kids snacks for school
  • Chowders
  • Beef soup
  • Cocoa/hot chocolate
  • Rice and noodle side dishes
  • Canned chicken
  • Canned ravioli
  • Canned spaghetti
  • Solid white tuna
  • Chicken and beef brother
  • Canned beets
  • Chili
  • Baked beans
  • Crunchy peanut butter
  • Baby food
  • Jelly
  • Sugar
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Mayonnaise
  • Vegetable oil
  • Jello
  • Pudding (regular and sugar-free)
  • Cake mixes
