N.R. Baseball Expands Jr./Sr. Leagues For Town's 13-16 Year-Olds

North Reading Little League's Junior and Senior leagues have taken another big step to ensure the town's 13-16 year-olds are getting the opportunity to play baseball at a high level.

Both the juniors (ages 13-14) the seniors (ages 15-16) will be competing in the new Middlesex Big Diamond League. This league consists of over two dozen teams from Wilmington, Woburn, Stoneham, Lynnfield, and North Reading.  Our teams will play an interlocking schedule against teams that are both in and out of town. There will be all-star games, playoff and championship games, as well as weekend night games under the lights in Woburn.

These are sign-up leagues, but tryouts are held to help create balanced teams. North Reading's Junior/Senior League tryouts are this Saturday, March 29, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the RAMS Complex at 23 Concord Street. Teams will be selected immediately afterwards. All players must be registered prior to participating in this mandatory tryout. Register today at http://www.nrll.org.
