Obituary: Donald “Moose” Anderson, 62, Lifelong North Reading Resident

Donald S. “Moose” Anderson, 62, a lifelong North Reading resident, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a long illness.

He attended North Reading Public Schools and was a graduate of North Reading High School, Class of 1970. Don worked for the Atlantic Super Value in North Reading and for many years at the General Electric Aircraft Engines in Lynn.

He was a member of the Hillview Country Club and the North Reading Moose Lodge, where he worked part-time as a bartender.

He is survived by his twin sister, Darlene Anderson Garrett and her husband Gardner of Rockport; and their children, Carl Garrett and his wife Catherine of Beverly and Victoria Halmen and her husband John of Georgetown.

Funeral service will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading, on Wednesday, Nov. 6  at 11 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
