Obituary: Doris (Pardy) Stedman, North Reading Resident

Doris (Pardy) Stedman, 84, of North Reading and formerly of Medford, died Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert G. Stedman.

Born in Cambridge, MA on April 14, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Muriel (Cave) Pardy. She was raised and attended school in Medford. Doris worked as a Lab Assistant at MIT in Cambridge for many years.

Doris was dedicated to her family and was a loving grandmother. She loved painting, gardening and music.

Family members include her loving son Craig Stedman and his wife Elaine of North Reading and her late son Clifford Stedman; she was the sister of Raymond Pardy of New Hampshire, Leslie Pardy of Florida, Carol McKnight and her husband Don of Malden and Margie Carlson of Mansfield; loving grandmother of Michael, Eric and Ryan Stedman and great grandmother of Caden and Piper Stedman.

Funeral service will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading on Thursday, March 20 at 10 a.m. Calling hours will be heldon  Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
