Obituary: Madeline V. (Kirk) Warnock, Longtime North Reading Resident

Madeline  V. (Kirk) Warnock, 96, of North Reading, formerly of Westbrook, ME, died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, March 15, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late John H. Warnock.

Born in Westbrook, ME on November 26, 1917. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Gladys M. (Whitten) Kirk. Madeline worked as a secretary for the Shower Queen Glass Company in North Reading for over 60 years.

She has been a resident of North Reading for over 70 years and was a member of the 4-H Club and Whist Club. She was a homemaker and was very dedicated to her family. She enjoyed making dolls, afghans, knitting, crocheting, candles, popcorn balls and baking. She also loved bowling, playing bingo and cards.

Family members include her loving sons, William H. Warnock and his wife Shirley of Venice, FL and George W. Warnock of North Reading; daughters, Betty Smith and her husband James of Deltona FL, Judy Meier and her late husband Louis of Winter Haven, FL and Karen Malo and her late husband Richard of North Reading.  Also survived by 20 cherished grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Hellen Berg and Donna Provost and  sister of the late George, Harold, Forest, Charlie, Ernest and Ethel Kirk.

Her funeral will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Tuesday, March 25 at 10 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
