Andover Man Arrested for Burglary

North Reading Police arrested an Andover man for breaking into a North Street home last Thursday.

Police arrested Francisco Williams, 51, of Andover, and charged him with breaking and entering in the nighttime with the intent to commit a felony and malicious destruction of property (felony). Police arrested Williams on Friday and he was arraigned in Woburn District Court. He is being held on $1,500 cash bail.

Last Thursday night, a North Street resident was awakened by someone kicking in his door. The burglar reportedly entered the home, but the homeowner confronted the burglar, who fled the home.

North Reading detectives with the help of the Wilmington Police investigated the burglary, which culminated in Williams’ arrest less than 24 hours later.
