Bus Company Employee Pleads Guilty to Stealing Company Credit Card

A Peabody man plead guilty to 11 felony charges.

A Peabody man has pleaded guilty of stealing a company credit card and spending more than $50,000.

Christopher R. Day, 26, 20 Proctor St., Peabody, pled guilty to 11 felony charges at Newburyport District Court on Monday and was sentenced to 2 ½ years in jail, reported the Salem News.

Police said that Day worked in the information technology department for North Reading Transportation. He took the company credit card and purchased software, which he would then sell to customers, according to police.
