Firefighters Extinguish Shed Fire Before It Reaches Nearby Home

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

North Reading firefighters extinguished a shed fire before the blaze stretched to a nearby home on Sunday afternoon.

North Reading Fire responded to a shed fire on Willow Street at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The shed was near a home, according to North Reading Fire.

Engine 1 arrived at the scene and Captain Don Stats reported that there was fire in the shed's roof. Engine 4, Ladder 1 and Command 2 responded to the scene. 

Firefighters ran a line to the fire and quickly extinguished the fire. They were able to contain the fire to a small section of the shed, said North Reading Fire. 

The Fire and Police departments said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
