North Reading Fire Seeks Call Firefighters

North Reading Fire Department is seeking call firefighters to help supplement the full-time department.

The on-call firefighters assist the permanent department on an as-needed basis.

“It is a good opportunity for someone who may be interested in a career in the fire service to get started in this field,” according to North Reading Fire.

“As a member of the department, a Call Firefighter fights fires using a variety of firefighting equipment, repairs equipment, and responds to emergency situations,” according to the Fire Department.

Those interested in being a call firefighter must be a minimum of an EMT-B.
