Saturday, Aug. 30
At 12:19 a.m., police arrested Frances Toneguzzo, 62, 198 Haverhill St., North Reading, and charged her with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor, speeding and a marked lanes violation. An officer reportedly saw Toneguzzo’s car cross the marked lanes and he pulled her over on Park Street near North Reading High School.
Friday, Aug. 30
At 9:39 a.m., an Abbott Road resident reported that vehicles were entered overnight, but nothing of value was taken.
At 10:40 a.m., police cited an Andover driver on Central Street for speeding.
At 12:09 p.m., a person turned in a wallet that he found on Main Street. Police contacted the owner, a Melrose man, who picked up the wallet.
At 1:25 p.m., a Lowell Road resident reported identity theft. Police took a report.
At 7:29 p.m., a Main Street resident reported that someone was revving a car engine in the old Stop & Shop parking lot for 90 minutes. An officer spoke to the car’s owner who said he was putting his hot rod onto a trailer and was leaving the area.
Sunday, Aug. 31
At 4:07 p.m., a caller reported that his young dog was attempting to swim across the Ipswich River. Police responded and the dog was reunited with its owner.
Monday, Sept. 1
At 12:26 p.m., a North Andover resident reported that someone broke into a motor vehicle during the soccer tournament at Maguire Field on Chestnut Street. Police performed checks of the area during the final day of the soccer tournament.
Tuesday, Sept. 2
At 8:22 a.m., police responded to a two-car head-on crash at Haverhill and Chestnut streets. The cars were towed; there were no reported injuries.
