Parties Warned for Panhandling Outside of Walmart

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the North Reading Police Department from Tuesday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.

Tuesday, Sept. 3

  • At 8:22 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Haverhill Street. One female was transported to the hospital.
  • At 6:24 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Chestnut Street. No injuries were reported.

Wednesday, Sept. 4

  • At 11:34 a.m., a Main Street resident reported that something was stolen from her apartment. Police are investigating.
  • At 3:18 p.m., a Hanson Road resident reported that a person in a suspicious vehicle was taking photos of his house. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
  • At 8:25 p.m., a Haverhill Street resident reported hearing banging sounds outside of her home. Police checked the area, but did not find anything.
  • At 8:41 p.m., a Valley Road resident reported that his sneakers were stolen.

Thursday, Sept. 5

  • At 2:35 p.m., an employee from Trailblazer Kawasaki reported that a customer left without paying for motorcycle repairs.
  • At 4:32 p.m., a caller reported parties panhandling outside of Walmart. Police sent them on their way with a warning not to panhandle.
