Police Field Multiple Calls for Found Ammunition

The following information was supplied by the North Reading police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the North Reading Police Department from Tuesday at noon through Thursday. The information is open to the public.

Tuesday, March 26

  • At 12:02 p.m. an unconscious female was reported by a 911 caller on Spruce Road. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital. 
  • At 5:48 p.m. calling from California, a homeowner told police that he wanted the news media removed from property. His son and another person from North Reading were allegedly attacked by a night club bouncer out of town, and it has made national news. Parties were removed from the property.

Wednesday, March 27

  • At 1:43 a.m. on Winter Street, a 911 caller reported someone running through their yard. The caller did not see anything but could hear something large running. Officers reported that there were numerous deer in the yard upon their arrival. 
  • At 5:27 p.m. a resident of Pine Ridge observed a BMW operated eratically by a younger male. Another caller indicated that the younger male who claimed to be the brother of the operator had a facial wound.

Thursday, March 28

  • At 7:19 a.m. a resident came in to the station to report that while walking on Swam Pond Road, he found seven spent firearm cartridges and a pair of rubber gloves on the side of the road. Officers reported that there was no evidentiary value in the items because they have been touched by a few people and nothing appeared out of the ordinary.
  • At 10:40 a.m. calling from Little School, a teacher reported that a student found what they believed was a firearm round in the parking lot yesterday. The item was retrieved by police and a report was filed.
