Police Log: Attempted Burglary Reported on North Street

The following information was supplied by the North Reading police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Feb. 3

At 2:41 p.m., a Walmart employee reported two shoplifters. Police identified the suspects.

At 7:18 p.m., a North Reading resident reported identity theft. Someone used her former name and address to get a phone in 2006.

Tuesday, Feb. 4

At 8:29 a.m., a Heritage Way resident reported someone going through trash. The person left before police arrived.

At 1:48 p.m., police responded to Winter and Park streets after a cement truck spilled its load onto the street. The company cleaned up the spill.

At 3:19 p.m., police received a call on Main Street about an intoxicated driver. An officer spoke to the driver, who was not intoxicated, but was upset about the way he was treated by a business.

At 11:17 p.m., police arrested Anthony Figueroa, 29, 93 B St., Apt. 1, Lowell, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, a motor vehicle violation and a warrant. Police made the arrest during a motor vehicle stop on Main Street.

 

Wednesday, Feb. 5

At 4:55 p.m., a Haverhill Street resident reported that a neighbor was plowing snow from his driveway across the street. Police spoke to the man who agreed he would stop pushing snow across the street.

 

Thursday, Feb. 6

At 6:35 p.m., a North Street resident reported an attempted burglary. He said someone rang his doorbell and then attempted to kick in the door. The burglar fled the area on foot. Police are investigating.
