Police Log: Cops Investigating Damage Done to DPW Garage

Friday, April 11

At 10:34 a.m., Town Hall notified police about damage reportedly done by an employee at the Department of Public Works’ Spindler Garage complex earlier this month. Police are investigating.

At 3:32 p.m., a Haverhill Street resident reported a suspicious man going door-to-door and asking residents about cutting their lawns. Police were unable to locate the person.

At 4:07 p.m., an employee at Walmart reported a juvenile shoplifter. The store handled the matter.

At 5:49 p.m., police received a call after someone found a hypodermic needle and pill bottle by the side of the road on Bigham Road. Police disposed of the items.

Saturday, April 12

At 1:42 p.m., a Walmart employee reported a shoplifter. The store handled the matter.

At 2:18 p.m., police received a call from North Street after a dog was struck by a car. The dog’s owner had the driver’s information and took the dog to an animal hospital.

At 3:26 p.m., police responded to Walmart after a report of men selling home theaters out of a car. Police spoke to the men and told them to stop.

At 4:19 p.m., police received a call after a driver was seen throwing trash out a car window at Freedom Drive and Park Street. Police notified the car’s owner who said her son had the car. She said she would handle the issue.

 

Sunday, April 13

At 11:56 a.m., a Flash Road resident reported someone broke into a car. Nothing was reportedly taken.

At 12:21 p.m., a Greenbriar Drive resident reported her door was vandalized.

At 1:20 p.m., police arrested Christopher Dixon, 48, 709 Westford St., Lowell, and charged him on a warrant. Police made the arrest on Concord Street.

At 7:44 p.m., a Leclair Street resident reported someone threw a jar of corn at his front door.
