Police Log: Mailboxes Stolen

Tuesday, July 1

At 11:24 a.m., a Peter Road resident reported someone stole a trash barrel.

At 1:48 p.m., a North Reading resident reported a stolen laptop and identified a possible suspect.

At 2:04 p.m., a North Reading resident reported credit card fraud. Someone fraudulently used her credit card for about $4,000. Police took a report.

Wednesday, July 2

At 2:04 p.m., an Olde Coach Road resident reported that her mailbox was stolen. Police found the mailbox on Marblehead Street and returned it to the owner.

At 4:57 p.m., a Kings Row resident reported three car tires were punctured. Police took a report.

 

Thursday, July 3

At 9:27 a.m., police received a report of illegal dumping at Riverside Cemetery. A possible suspect has been identified.

At 11:39 a.m., a Patriot Way resident told police that a mailbox was stolen. Police found it 100 yards down the road and returned it to the owner.

At 5:28 p.m., police responded to Walmart about a dog left in a hot car with the windows up. Police spoke to the dog’s owner, who said he was only in Walmart for five minutes. The officer informed the man that was not a valid excuse and he should not leave his dog in a hot car.
