Police Log: North Reading Woman Charged with Drunk Driving

The following information was supplied by the North Reading police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Dec. 20

At 1:16 p.m., a person dropped off a money order that was found in the Batchelder School parking lot. Police contacted the owner of the money order who had her daughter pick it up at the police station.

At 10:58 p.m., police arrested Susan Leigh Keefe, 52, 4 Greenbriar Dr., Apt. 109, North Reading, and charged her with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Police made the arrest on Greenbriar Drive.

Saturday, Dec. 21

At 10:50 a.m., a Peabody Court resident reported someone took a traffic cone that she left in her parking spot. She said it was the second time her cone was taken. Police informed her that she needs permission from the Housing Authority to leave the cone. An officer told her this is not likely a larceny, but a civil matter.

At 5:17 p.m., a motorist reported youths in white shirts threw snowballs against her car. Police responded, but were unable to find the youths.

At 11:12 p.m., a caller reported a man standing in Main Street by Stop & Shop. An officer spoke to the man who was walking home to Lowell Road.

 

Sunday, Dec. 22

At 5:09 p.m., a resident reported that a tenant stole coins from her coin collection.
