Police Log: ‘Suspicious’ Man Reportedly Taking Photos of a Home

Monday, Dec. 9

At 7:56 a.m., police responded to Cedar Street concerning a hit-and-run crash. Police are investigating.

At 9:36 a.m., police responded to North Street and Berridge Way concerning a two-car motor vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries, but one vehicle was towed.

At 9:58 a.m., a North Street resident reported a man was taking photos from a vehicle of her house.

At 12:46 p.m., a North Reading resident reported fraud to her PayPal account.


Tuesday, Dec. 10

At 7:02 p.m., a Surrey Lane resident reported noise in the backyard. Police searched the area, but did not find any footprints in the snow.

In regards to the person taking pictures of a home it's actually a normal occurrence if the home has a. Mortgage on it. Banks like to keep records of the home especially if 1) payments are behind or 2) the bank is getting ready to sell the mortgage to another bank or 3) the homeowners applied to refinance or for a home line of credit....these are mist some examples of why pictures are taken
