Police Log: Youths Reportedly Light Fire on Golf Course

Friday, May 2

At 3:47 a.m., police responded to Greenbriar Drive about a possible domestic incident. Police spoke to two people and found it was only a verbal argument about their dog getting loose.

At 3:57 p.m., a North Reading resident reported identity theft.

At 9:57 p.m., police responded to the Hillview Country Club about people on the golf course. Police found several youths by a fire. Police contacted the youths’ parents to pick them up. Police asked the Hillview to let them know of any damage done to the property.

Saturday, May 3

At 11:38 a.m., a Walmart employee reported customers trying to steal baby formula. They were given no trespass orders.

At 8:28 pm., police received a call about a woman sitting on the road at Southwick Road and Park Street. An officer spoke to the woman who was out for a walk.

At 9:41 p.m., a Burroughs Road resient called police after a car drove onto the sidewalk and struck his mailbox.

At 11:44 p.m., police responded to Main Street about three teenagers acting suspiciously. Police found the teens had been drinking. Police notified their parents, who picked up the teens.

 

Sunday, May 4

At 2:38 p.m., police received a call from Main Street about youths trapping another youngster in a Dumpster and not letting him out. Police responded, but the youths who were involved had already left the area.
