Prescription Drugs Stolen from Linwood Avenue Home

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the North Reading Police Department from Sunday through Monday. The information is open to the public.

Sunday, May 12

  • At 9:23 a.m., several callers reported a tree down on Elm Street. The DPW responded to help remove the tree.
  • At 5:01 p.m., a Marshall Street resident reported a grill fire. The fire department responded.
  • At 6:28 p.m., an employee from Walmart reported a shoplifter. The shoplifter was issued a no trespass order.
  • At 8:21 p.m., a Linwood Avenue resident reported that her son broke into her home and stole prescription drugs.

Monday, May 13

  • At 3:35 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Elm Street. No injuries were reported.
  • At 10:34 p.m., a caller reported kids playing loud music in the high school parking lot. Police saw three cars leaving as they entered the parking lot.
