The controversial plan for a gas pipeline extension through a number of communities, including Andover and North Reading, has taken a new twist.

The Eagle-Tribune reported that Andover Town Manager Reginald “Buzz” Stapczynski told representatives of Kinder Morgan, which is proposing the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Project, to stay out of Andover until they go before the Andover Board of Selectmen about the project.

This is the same project that would affect North Reading. North Reading recently held a meeting in which residents told the gas pipeline officials that the project is not wanted. Residents charged that some representatives have been pushy and persistently knocked on doors and called residents in hopes of surveying their land.

North Reading officials spoke out about the fact that the company representatives went to the neighbors before informing Town Hall of the project, which is a similar argument voiced in Andover.

Here is Patch coverage of that meeting.

Here is a fact sheet about the project that North Reading officials put together.

Oil companies, gas companies...they are all the same just different faces. They will push and push and push until they get what they want and then it's all just a sea of lies.

I wonder if he knows he has no right to tell them that. Even though I agree with him

We should tell them the same thing!

No one has yet mentioned that the proposed gas pipeline will be running dangerously close to Beneventos crushed stone pit where they blast daily. Every day that they blast over there My House shakes. I'm about a mile away and they want to run the pipeline through My backyard. In other sections of the proposed pipeline the pipe runs much closer to Beneventos. Will Kinder Morgan be forcing Beneventos to cease their Blasting ? If My House shakes and rumbles daily so too will that huge pipe.
