Controversial Retaining Wall Tops Selectmen’s Agenda

Town Administrator Greg Balukonis will report back to the board about a meeting concerning the 7-foot retaining wall being built on Bishops Way.

The Board of Selectmen will get an update Monday night about one of the most controversial neighborhood issues in recent memory.

During the Monday selectmen’s meeting, Town Administrator Greg Balukonis will report back to the board about a meeting concerning the 7-foot retaining wall being built on Bishops Way. Balukonis and other town officials met with the property owner and builder last week in hopes of coming to a compromise that would make the wall more acceptable to the neighbors.

Neighbors to the property have been vocal in their displeasure with the retaining wall being built as part of the new home’s septic system. They have also spoken about communication problems with town officials.
