Find Out More About Gas Pipeline Slated to Run Through North Reading

The meeting will be held on Thursday in the Town Hall Gymnasium.

One of the most highly anticipated meetings in North Reading in recent memory is on Thursday night.

North Reading residents and officials will get to hear firsthand about the plan for the Tennessee Gas Pipeline that is proposed to run through North Reading and a number of other nearby communities.

The meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 5 in the Town Hall Gymnasium.

The pipeline, which is slated to transport natural gas to the northeast, is scheduled to cross Main Street near Walmart and then run by the Damon/Gould Street neighborhood, across Park Street and past Scotland Heights off Haverhill Street. 

Workers for the proposed gas line have been in town over the past few months. Residents near the proposed gas pipeline have signed a petition against the proposal.
