Memorial Day Parade in North Reading on Monday

The annual Memorial Day parade in North Reading will kick off at 10 a.m. Monday in front of the Third Meetinghouse on the Town Common on Bow Street.

The parade will include veterans, officials, youth groups and bands.

The historic Putnam House and Damon Tavern, which are also on Bow Street, will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and then again for an hour after the parade. You can take a tour of two of North Reading's most historic buildings and take a peek at the Rufus Porter murals in the Damon Tavern ballroom.
