Water Restriction in Place in North Reading

From the North Reading Department of Public Works:

The North Reading Department of Public Works reminds both residents and business owners that the town’s water conservation bylaw limits the outdoor use of water between May 1 and Sept. 30.

The current water restriction in effect is as follows: During the summer period (May 1 to Sept. 30) outdoor water use is on an Odd and Even day schedule from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Residents and businesses with Odd numbered addresses may water lawns on Odd numbered days. Residents and businesses with Even numbered addresses may water lawns on Even numbered days. No outside water use is allowed for any address on Monday.

Residents and business owners are asked to modify water use practices to comply with the current restrictions.

By taking these simple steps, we can avoid the need for more restrictive conservation measures later in the summer season.  Please contact the North Reading Water Department at (978) 660-6009 or click for additional information on water conservation.
