Do You Have Items for the NRHS Time Capsule?

North Reading High School has served the town of North Reading for generations, but it will soon meet its demise.

The new North Reading High School is being built up the hill from the current school and students will move into the new school in the fall. Old NRHS isn’t done yet. It will house middle school students next year as workers construct the middle school portion of the new combined school.

In preparing to say a final goodbye next year, the NRHS Student Council is seeking artifacts for a time capsule. From June 2-13, you can drop off NRHS artifacts in the high school lobby.

NRHS is asking teachers, parents, students and alumni to bring items that remind them of the old school. Some possible items could be a project, a T-shirt, a photo, an award and a newspaper article.

NRHS will hold a “Back to the Future” assembly in the auditorium on June 17 that will include teachers who graduated from the school and a short documentary video. Community members will be invited to attend.
