Chadem Felix Invited to Elite Football University

Felix will attend the university as an offensive and defensive lineman.

North Reading resident Chadem Felix was invited to the Elite Football University (FBU) this summer as an offensive and defensive lineman.

FBU was created by the U.S. Army-All American Bowl, according to Lindsay Felix. It is the nation's most elite football experience for youth and high school players, she said.

FBU focuses on "intense position-specific technique training." Former and current NFL coaches work with the athletes on their skills.

Felix plays both baseball and football. He currently plays for the North Reading Youth Football League as a defensive lineman. Former NFL athlete and NFL trainer Pat Downey is Felix's coach. They work together at Downey's gym in Woburn.

Felix said he was in shock after the interview process when he found out that he was invited to FBU. His training at the Gridiron Gym in Woburn with high school players from North Reading, Lynnfield and Downey helped build his confidence, determination and skills to perform at a level beyond his years, he said.
