Fitzgerald's Goal Leads BC to Beanpot Final
The North Reading resident kicked off the scoring in Boston College's 3-1 win over arch-rival Boston University on Monday.
North Reading’s Ryan Fitzgerald scored a power play goal in Boston College’s 3-1 win over Boston University in the Beanpot at TD Garden on Monday.
Fitzgerald, a BC freshman who was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the fourth round in 2013, scored the game’s first goal in a shot from the right circle. It was Fitzgerald’s ninth goal of the season.
The Eagles will play Northeastern University next Monday for the Beanpot Championship. Northeastern crushed Harvard University, which features North Reading’s Jimmy Vesey, 6-0 on Monday.
