After a 16-4 regular season, the Hornets, which have the second seed in the North Division 3 tournament, beat Bishop Fenwick 2-1 over the weekend.

North Reading baseball next takes on Shawsheen at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 3 in North Reading.

The winner of the North Reading-Shawsheen game will head to the semifinal against either Austin Prep or Weston.

Boys’ tennis

North Reading boys’ tennis will take on Triton at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4 at home in the North Division 3 semifinal.

North Reading knocked off St. Mary’s 5-0 in the quarterfinal to reach the semis. North Reading went 10-4 in the regular season. Triton finished at 11-5.

Though North Reading is a sixth seed, the Hornets have a legitimate shot at winning the North Division 3. The top four seeds have all been knocked out of the tournament, including Manchester, which had an undefeated regular season.
