North Reading picked up a thrilling 8-7 win over Hamilton-Wenham to win the North Division 3 title in Lowell on Saturday.
Ryan Sanborn crushed a grand slam in the bottom of the fourth to lead the Hornets.
Hamilton-Wenham clawed back into the game. After falling behind 8-3, the Generals made it 8-7 in the sixth inning. But Scott Allan stopped the Generals after coming into the game in the sixth.
North Reading, which is going for its second state title in three years, will play Bellingham at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Lowell in the state semifinal.
