North Reading High softball will take on Swampscott in the first round of the MIAA Softball North Division 2 tournament on Thursday.
The Hornets, which finished the year at 14-6, will play Swampscott at 4 p.m. Thursday at home.
North Reading is the 5 seed in the tourney while Swampscott, which finished the season at 11-9, is the 12 seed.
