Former Boston Bruin and North Reading’s own Tom Fitzgerald has been named assistant general manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The move was part of a shakeup in Pittsburgh that included firing the head coach and hiring of a new general manager.
The Penguins named Jim Rutherford as general manager and also named former Bruin Bill Guerin as another assistant GM.
