First Look: Resorts North

The Resorts North, formerly the Thomson Country Club, pools and tennis courts are now open.

Residents have been waiting for the Resorts North pool and tennis courts to open, and they are finally ready. Lifeguards are on duty and the three pools are open. There is a lap pool, a regular pool and a kiddie pool. The area features a covered lounge and picnic area, several lounge chairs, and a play area for kids. There are also four tennis courts, a basketball hoop and ping-pong table available for those looking to play.

Resident Carol Fisher was relaxing by the pool this week. She was a member before Owner Nick Yebba, Sr. took over the club and says that she likes it better now. 

"I love it," she said.

Soon there will be a service bar exclusively for members who may want a cold beer or a glass of wine while sitting by the pool, Yebba said. 

Residents are now waiting for the restaurant and function facility to be complete. 

Nick Yebba, Jr. said, "When it's done, it's going to be the place to be."
